I have heard so much about them but they cost around $300 which is a bit much

I love these dresses. I'm wearing one as a bridesmaid in a wedding in October 2010. I do agree they are pricey but I will definitely be wearing this dress again--it fits amazing and its very stylish so its actually a pretty good investment!

I would have considered getting these for my BMs if she didn't decide to use them first!

I reaaaaaally wanted to do these but they are really like twice as much money as I wanted my girls to spend

I'm using them. I asked the girls if the price was OK and they said yes b/c with my color (slate grey) they will def be able to wear it again.

There is a similar dress from Dessy called the long wrap or something, and it's a lot cheaper. The only reason we didn't go w/ them was b/c the two birds have a bandeau that goes underneath for chesty girls and the Dessy one doesn't, and they wanted to feel more comfortable.

I actually found others that are a little cheaper. Just google 'convertible dress' or 'convertible bridesmaid dress' and check out the sites.
They were in the $200-250 range.
