So I booked my photographer a while ago and while i'm happy with her work and our package, I'd like something a little edgier for our engagement shoot. The thing is, our package includes a free engagement shoot already. Would it be weird to do a separate one now and then do the one with our day-of photographer closer to the wedding?
I dont want to step on her toes...

Re: Two engagement sessions?
its up to you really and if you dont mind spending money on a 2nd e-shoot when you have one for free.
I just wouldn't mention it to your photographer if you do decide to do this.

Re: Two engagement sessions?
why dont you have the free one first and tell them the type of pics you are looking for and see how that goes and if you dont like them then pay for a 2nd shoot elsewhere.

Re: Two engagement sessions?
we're contemplating doing two sessions as well, but thats because we want to do a zombie session with a friend of ours who is a photographer

Re: Two engagement sessions?
we had two sessions - one we did with a photographer we found on craigslist - she also did our e-party for free - she needed pics for her portfolio so we volunteered those were pretty standard as far as e-pics go - i really liked a lot of them though - very casual, cute, in the park with our dog - i have some in an album....
then we did some with our wedding photographer and those were more edgy....
im glad we did it twice - we have two sets of totally different photos - its like the only excuse you have to take pictures so why not?
