I'm here watching Scrubs and hanging out with FH while he plans lessons. This site is super-slow tonight. I just reloaded and it's been much faster.

Jessamyn, what grade do you teach? May I brag on my Grandson? I had posted months ago of how his grades in math were all over the place. He's always loved math, and gotten A's. He's 11 and in 5th grade. Ok, so, he was in the top math group, and his grades were terrible! He was moved down one step, and his recent four grades, were two A+ and two B's. I am so happy he's doing better!! Wait 'til I see him this weekend; I'm gonna kiss his face off!! I think his Mom is relieved!! Mary MOB

Hi Mary- I teach 3rd grade now, but tutor all levels of math. I'm glad your grandson is doing better now. He probably needed a change of pace and it definitely will boost his confidence.

Appreciate that Jessamyn!!! I think it will too! I was quite surprised that the 'modern math' I had in middle school is what Shaun has in 5th grade. It's the type where the student has to tell how he got the answer. Mary MOB
