TWO Quick Question!!!

I will be attending a wedding Sept. 30th.
I was just wondering what color dresses can I wear???
I have a black one already (not sure if I still fit in it )
But, is there any other colors I can wear???
Also, my FH is in the wedding party, however I am not. How much should we give.
The Future Groom will also be in our wedding party, so we know we have to 'TAKE GOOD CARE OF THEM'
But How GOOD????

Well I think you can wear pretty much any color dress to the Sept 30 wedding other than white lol... Black is always good, I'm going to one the following day and wearing a black dress..
As for the gift, I never know about that either but I'd say your FH and the groom must be pretty close since they're in each other's wedding parties.. how much would you give for a really close friend's wedding?? Also consider how much you can afford.. Good luck and don't stress it!

I say black is always a great color...it goes with everything, so if it still fits then go with it!! and for how much to give....I would give $150...but I dont know if thats good or bad

Yep..$300 sounds reasonable...it depends on the how close you guys really are..its hard for us to say. But from both 300 is good...up to you if you want to give me..depending on ur budget.

i think thats way too much

I was going to give around $300-350!!!!
We all are pretty close.
They both work as Paramedics and work 911 over night tours together.
They are REAL TIGHT!!!
I'll probably go with $350 to be safe, hopefully I can budget it in!!!

If I am attending a wedding solo, I offer $150-200, depending on how close I am to the couple. I would never give less than $200 if there are 2 of us coming together... I usually offer between $300-400, and on very close occassions I give $500.

Of course... it really does depend on what you can afford. I tend to be on the generous side, because I know how expensive weddings can be and i really like to help them recoup some of the mountain of debt that they likely just incurred!

This is what I do also. Knowing how expensive weddings are, I wouldn't feel right giving any less - especially in this case, where FH is in the wedding party.

I agree! If it was just a normal wedding we were attending we usually give btw 200-250 but if we are in the wedding we are going to give more.

Black dress is always safe

I would give 350 or more... that's just me I usally give 400-500 depending on the couple. but you should do what you can afford.

I'd gove at least $300.. the rate of return these days, is much higher than it used to be..

Also, you can wear any color you'd like.. (except for white/ivory )

I agree...IMO the only two colors that are 'off' limits are white/ivory and bright red- that colors just demands too much attention and the focus should be on the bride.
As far as $$ goes, IMO it depends on how much you have already contributed- did you attend an engagment party, bridal shower as well and give gifts for both? If you have already given gifts for other wedding events, I believe 150$ is fine, however if this is the first time you are giving a wedding related gift, I would go 300ish, esp. if they are good friends. As always though, it's what you can afford!
