Two Wedding Bands for the Groom?

Two Wedding Bands for the Groom?

Is anyone getting their FH two wedding bands?

My eng. ring is platinum, and my wedding band will be too....and I want to get my FH a platinum band...I want it to be special, high quality, and match mine - it's our wedding rings after all. I'm thinking of getting him a second ring, a titanium band - something he can wear to the gym, gardening, swimming, etc. without worrying too much about it. He said he wouldn't want to not have a ring on when he went to the gym.

Is this silly? I figure why not - titanium bands are so inexpensive, and this way he gets the best of both worlds - a really nice ring, and a ring that he won't worry about when he's doing heavier work with his hands.

I don't see why it's silly. Lots of brides have 2 . I think it's a good idea. I would rather get 2 and have my husband have one of them on all the time.

I dont think it is silly either. MY FH is a chef, so he needs a plain, solid band when he is at work so nothing gets stuck in the grooves. So he will probably get two, one for work and one for everyother time.

I think it's a good idea. I am debating whether or not to get FH a plain platinum band as a 1 year anniversary gift. We went with a white gold milgrain band for him, but a plainer, thinner platinum band might also suit him well. I say go for it. Having two wedding bands isn't always what someone will 'ask for' but once he/she has two, they realize what a nice advantage that can be.

My FH will get two rings - he works on cars so he will have an everyday one and then a nicer one to wear out.

Love the idea. My FH is a gym teacher and coach so he wants a 'knock-about' wedding band too. Makes perfect sense! Also, for those who don't know, the white gold bands can be rhodium plated and polished whenever they start to look dull. Comes out amazing.

Thanks for the tip. I love white gold, but was worried it would start to look dull!

I'll post pic tonight...its a special claddagh ring & then he got a dressy white gold w/ diamonds band.

He deserves it!

I'm actually having a white gold pendant rhodium plated now...it's not cheap! This was one of the reasons my FH and I went with platinum, less upkeep and expense over the years.

My FH is having a custom one made with diamonds which he will only where 156 days out of the year. See, he work in the autobody business and can't where is at work, so we are getting a plan band for days during the week.

Personally, I would rather him not where anything at work...it is just too dangerous.
