Two weeks to go and hair color drama!! (sorry so long)

Two weeks to my wedding and I get a call from the girl who always does my highlites saying she has left the salon I always go to and this is the number of her new place.

Mind you I have an appt with her on Saturday!!!!

So I say ooook I wish the salon had called to tell me my girl was no longer there, I guess there plan was to give me anyone when I showed up on Saturday.

So now Im pi$$ed.

I make appt at the new salon my girl is at but when I call it sounds kinda fishy... Like they keep putting me on hold, then Im told they only take cash cause there credit card machines arent running yet. So I ask--is this a new place and she said yes they are just opening.. Then I ask what they charge and they say whatever I paid my girl before is her same fee. Ok then.

So now I call my original salon to b*tch them out about not telling me my stylist is no longer there and it turns out they didnt know my girl quit..she walked out Friday and hadnt seen her since, and after my call they discover her stylist license is missing. The owner calls me to apologize and says they had no idea she wasnt coming back, a few people called today with the same info blah blah..and if I still want to come to the salon they will give me someone else and offer me 30% off for my trouble.

So now what do I do.. Do I chance it with the same salon but different person for 30% off, or go to my normal girl who seems to be in a fishy situation. The salon did say they have my info in the computer and they will have whoever does my hair use the same formula but this is my Wedding highlites we are talking about!!! I am so torn and don;t kno who to go to!!!

What would you do??

if you are that worried, go to your normal girl and have your do your hair but get ready to pay in cash.
make sure before hand that she will still be able to use the same products as before because sometimes when you change salons, they don't use the same products so your hair highlights that you are used to may not be the exact same shade as you are used to. its good to know before you go!

I would say go with the girl who normally does your hair.

BUT can you trust that she isn't gonna pull a no show? It's a tough situation! What is your gut telling you to do?

I know of a few stylists that are great out here in the Patchogue area.

The Cutting Club in Bayport ask for Jackie

Jon Michel in Patchogue ask for the owner Michelle

They are both excellent hairdressers that do both color and cut

Well i mean you dont know why she left..maybe she left because she about had it on how she was getting treated..i would ask her what happened and then maybe make a decision. where i go they only accept cash so idk to me its natural..hope this somewhat help

How long have you been going to her? The salon? I would be a little Pissed at my hair girl for being so unprofessional. I honestly don't know what I would do. I've followed my hair girl to new salons in the part but the way she left and how she told you is very weird and I'd be worried.

Why don't you just call the girl, and have her come to you instead.

I think Im going to drive by the new location today and see if its legit and walk in and see if my girl is there. I mean both stories sound bizarre, and personally I dont care what any of there drama is I just want my highlites done right!!! LOL

I would go with the salon that you have been to... even if it's a new girl. You are a long time customer and the fact that they are offering you a 30% off discount for your trouble seems to be honest to me.

I don't really know what advice to give, but if you do decide to go with your regular girl at the new place, you should definitely check what brands they use to make sure everything is the same.

This! If your regular girl just left then she doesn't have your combination of hightlights with her and she's going to go by memory. If you have been going to your salon for a long time tell them this is for your wedding and you need the best person they have, also you might know someone who is REALLY good there but you never went to them before. I would personally stick with your original salon. They are giving you a discount and they have your information in the system.

Good luck!
