I should probably know this but I don't so I am going to ask....what is the wedding of the year? I understand that it is an event hosted by LIweddings but I am not sure I understand the concept and what goes on. Can someone fill me in?

The bride and groom and bridal party are all LIW members from the previous year. So for the 2010 TWOTY, all of the BP and bride and groom will be '09ers.

Think of it as a marketing campaign for vendors to show their stuff... but through a mock wedding rather than just a bridal show.

Yes, one bride, one groom. But no, they don't actually get married that day. They are already married. So next year's TWOTY bride and groom will be a couple that got married this year (2009) and the bride is a member here on LIW.
It's a mock wedding, not a real wedding.

Yes, one bride, one groom. But no, they don't actually get married that day. They are already married. So next year's TWOTY bride and groom will be a couple that got married this year (2009) and the bride is a member here on LIW.

Last year the bride had 2 dresses. One for the ceremony and one for the reception. Not her original wedding dress though. From what I understand, its on loan from a vendor (I believe it was Bridal Reflections last year).
