So I am confused about this Wedding of the Year... what is it? And I know it took place already but how do you get to go? Do you have to buy tickets? I feel like I didn't hear anything about it?

its a mock wedding that LIW throws every year...they pick a past newlywed couple to be a bride/groom...MOH & Bridal Party...
they throw a mock wedding...and then give out lots of prizes
the tix for TWOTY for next year, go on sale in nov- at least thats what client servies told me

The Wedding of the Year is an extravaganza./showcase that LIWeddings does each year. It is usually held in January, with the services of the vendors donated.
The bridal party consists of LIW members who had gotten married the previous year, and it simulates a full wedding.
Tickets went on sale this year in November, but sold out quickly. It is a good opportunity to see the vendors in action for a full event, rather than a 10-20 minute showcase meeting

$60 per couple. And they sell out FAST. I think it sold out in about 30 minutes this year.
