So I just called my church to find out when they do rehearsal’s. They only do them on Thursdays and Fridays at 7 and 7:30.
Here’s the kicker – since I’m getting married on the Friday after Easter, they can’t do it the Thursday or Friday the week before the wedding because it’s Holy Thursday and Good Friday. The Friday BEFORE that is lent and there are Friday long services, so I’d have to do it the Thursday before, which is April 10th. Who has a rehearsal 2 weeks before their wedding?
No one’s going to remember anything Lol
I could also do it the night before the wedding but that is NOT happening.
They don’t do it any other day. UCK!!!!!!!!!!!
Please tell me this is NOT a big deal lol

I think 2 weeks before is totally ok. We are hoping to do ours at least a week prior.

My church didn't even give me an option. They basically told me, the rehearsal will be the night before. End of story. I am not thrilled with this either. I feel like the night before your wedding you should be chilling out and relaxing. I am going to have to watch what I drink at the rehearsal so I am not hungover the next day! UGH!

2 weeks is better than months out. I am sure everyone will retain it! If you feel more comfortable do it 2 weeks out and then do a rough run through like in a local park or something a couple days before just so you are SURE everyone knows what they are doing.

It's not even that I don't think people will remember. I think it's more that I'm so used to them being the week before and I think 2 weeks before is annoying. It might be a good thing to not have to see our families so often

My brother got married on January 1st a few years ago and since Christmas was the week before they made him do the rehearsal 3 or 4 weeks before. Plus it was hard to book a restaurant at that time because a lot of people were having their holiday parties- all in all everything was fine. Plus, there's someone at the Church the day of your wedding reminding everyone what to do.

What church is yours? I really do not want to do the rehearsal the night before.

My wedding is October 12th and my rehearsal is the 4th. Don't worry too much.

im getting married the same day as you, i have to find out when they can do my rehersal...i am not gonna be happy if they say its the day before.. ughh

Just think less stress the week of the Wedding! Because the Rehearsal/Rehearsal dinner/gift giving will be done 2 weeks before! Silver lining lol

If we have a rehearsal it's going to be the night before. In reality, I would hope my wedding party can figure it out based on what we explain. No matter when you do it it will be fine.

we were told the rehearsal was the night before at like 8pm, but i argued my way into getting them to allow the day before at 1pm.. that way, we can go out to an early dinner afterwards and go to bed early!

I am having my rehearsal two weeks before my wedding as well. My church only does rehearsals on Thursday nights and since my wedding is on a Wednesday (day before Thanksgiving) we originally were going to do it the Thursday the week before. Then my FH found out he was having his state exam that night and couldn't change it. So now we are doing it two weeks before the wedding. I was a little bummed too but I just had to remind myself that it is nothing to stress about. It will all turn out okay.
