Uggg why do they do this

I had a Dr appt this thurday( my last appt was NOv 8th) I have to try and make them at night or Sat because I really can not take alot of work off yet and I know I am going to bneed the days later on in my PG for tests and ultrasounds and stuff...so the routine exam is not a big deal. So they canceled the Appt and i spent 20 min with the receptionist trying to find another time.. she finally gave me an Appt with his associate Dr on Tuesday becasue i told her that I have had a cold since the beginning. I just got over on eand now I have another one....

So frustratiing.. did this happen to anyone else????

PS the receptionist did ask me what week I was n and after I told her she asked if everyting was ok.. i guess if is wasn't they would have seen me right away

What happens to me is that I have an appointment a month in advance and I still have to sit there waiting for an hour.
Why do they do that?

I just want to make sure that the baby is ok i have not seen him since i went in for a throat culture 5 weeks ago

I'm sure everything is fine w/the baby, but can't your dr squeeze you in since you've been sick? I also had to make appts for late at night, but my dr's office had late hours so it was never a problem.

As for the waiting, the only time I had to sit and wait hours was whenever my DH came w/me!!!

Doctors do not know how to schedule. That is the age-old problem. They try to squeeze in tons of appointments and then you end up waiting for a long time just to be seen.
