My FH bought a new printer yesterday and when he installed the software on my PC, my screen diplay turned BLUE! he messed with it for an hour last night and it's still BLUE!
We both tried playing with the monitor buttons as well as all the PC display software features. We can't figure it out!
Does anyone know how to get rid of this blue tint?

It just has a blue tint? Take the cable that connects the monitor to the computer and check the pins at both ends. it sounds like it's either not all the way in, or some pins are bent! HTH

it sounds like when hubby was installing the printer (you have to move it around to put in the cable, obviously), he jostled the monitor cable.

we'll give that a try. thanks!
we just hooked up FH's monitor to my PC and it's fine, no blue tint. so it's definitely not a computer issue (THANK GOD!)
we'll try hooking my monitor back and see what happens. worse case scanerio, I have to get a new monitor. MUCH better than having to replace the PC!

try checking the pins (can you tell the same thing happenned to me?) If anything, if putting it bakc doens;t work or if you cant straighten them with a plier, you can probably just get a new cable. MUCH cheaper than a monitor!!!!!!

the weird thing is, when FH was installing the software, everything was fine. once the software finished intalling, that's when my screen turned blue. very strange!!

Yeah, I think the same thing happenned to me, it wasn't immediately after we had touched the computer. it's weird!

the cable to my monitor is missing a pin, but FH reconnected it and it's ok now!!

btw, is there any way to replace the cable on the monitor? it's permenantly attached to the monitor.

YAY! I'm gald it worked. You might not need to replace it, it might just work now. I'm sure you can relace the cable, but I'm not sure how easy it would be.

thanks. maybe I'll give Circuit City a call and see if they can replace it directly on the monitor. there's got to be a way!
