OK I give up on this wedding stuff. I SO regret not just renting out a beach house in VA beach like we originally wanted and having a big beach party wedding. Anyone else just so frustrated with everyone around them - and the whole engaged process is just not as much 'fun' as they hoped?
Don't get me wrong, I love the flowers, details, cake, etc, but I feel like all my family/friends are making things harder for me.

you are talking to the right girl! I totally feel you -- years ago, FH and I always said we'd get married in Hawaii so nobody would come. Then I decided that I wanted a big wedding. And with the planning came a lot of misery - ALL from FMIL.

I have felt the exact same way several times! I took long wedding planning breaks, and waited until I felt energized enough to start planning again. Even though I have waited til the last minute (kind of) I still have my sanity and everything is coming together. Also, I ignored everyone and just dug in and started planning what I wanted without the stress of having other peoples' opinions to mess things up.

UGH we didn't really decide so much as everyone was all mad and upset that we would not be getting married on LI so they wouldn't be able to come. SO then we changed it, and everyone suddenly was saying 'What happened to the VG plan? That sounded like so much fun'
