yeah it is fast, this way they dont have this whole emotional type song. Ive seen it used before in these situations. One wedding i went to the bride used this song to dance with her step-father. If you're not that close the whole slow sweet thing might not be as comfortable. At least this way its just an upbeat fun song and don't have to fake it

true...didn't think of that....just trying to picture my dad dancing to it....it's hard enough to get him to dance slow, let alone fast hahahaha

I am in the same boat. I need a song to dance with my FATHER to. We are not the 'daddys little girl' relationship. Good relationship...just not like that.

I have no clue what to dance to either..

I'm close to my dad but we are not the 'mushy' type at all. When picking a song he told me 'nothing corny' lol. We liked isn't she lovely, but it was too fast for us, we felt akward dancing to it lol. We decided to use In my Life by the Beatles...its a nice song, and not so traditional. My dad is a HUGE beatles fan too , so it worked out.
