See today's QOTD? Seems like we're all going through this!!
Have you started calling people?
I'm still missing about 15 RSVP cards. I don't have my list with me here today so I'm not sure the exact number. It's a real pain in the tush!

It's so annoying, right? My FH actually told me last night to post something on liweddings about this! lol I thought it was hysterical. He said to ask... Do you feel like your friendship will be affected by them not responding?

Re: UGH!!!!
I dont understand why people are so dense, you pretty much know when you get an invitation if you're going or not, except for a few people who arent sure...but 54? that's alot. I was getting late responses over a week after my deadline, give it another week. Most people send them out the day of the deadline, I started to get alot after the date. After a week if you're still missing alot, start making phone calls....
Some people can be so rude I feel your frustration

Re: UGH!!!!
I'm so frustrated with the rsvps situation that I literally go to the 'search' option on LIW daily to find relevant posts so that I can do some more complaining to people that can sympathize :)
This is definitely going to affect my friendships with certain people. My rsvp deadline was quite some time ago and we are still missing a TON of rsvps. Some people I see every single day would not bother saying anything to my face or even apologize for being late and then send rsvps saying 'no' 10 days after the due date...and not give the reason why. This makes me quite angry/disappointed. Also, I had a good friend (or so I thought) promise to me to send her rsvp 6 days ago already, but she never did. The other one said that she put hers in mail a few days ago, but when I received it I saw that it was stamped about 4-5 days after she told me. I can't believe she blatantly lied to me. We also had to make additional phone calls to some people and they promised to send them asap and still never did. :(

Re: UGH!!!!
I'm thinking perhaps lessons in etiquette, on a variety of social settings, at the school age level, might be helpful? Many Parents probably do teach these things to their children, but I think we've gotten far away from such teachings, since days gone by. I certainly don't understand it either!! Just plain forgetting, or a person with a procrastinatory personality, maybe, I can understand, or perhaps they are confused by 'RSVP' and it's meaning? Why doesn't an LI Bride write and submit, to her local newspaper's editorial section,, 'Why don't guests return RSVP's promptly?' Mary MOB
