Ugh!

Ugh!

10 days until my wedding and people are bugging out!!!

My mom is getting all upset because my aunt doesn't get to sit with her kids... Her kids are all over the age of 21! They are not babies anymore! Grow up!!

AND... my bridesmaid who has done nothing for the wedding (which i said was fine) but she didn't help plan anything and didn't give me any gifts (not even cards) for the engagement party or bridal shower or anything... she has known about this for a year, shes a bridesmaid and bringing a guest... and she has the nerve to ask me if she can give me the gift a week or two late... i ignored her text message... i dont even know how to respond... because yeah right ill get the gift after the wedding... i know i wont get anything and then i can't really be asking like... so where is my gift you were supposed to send?? Now I'm not even sure if I want to give her the coach bag I bought her... because i feel like I want to keep it for myself, especially if I am not getting a gift... shes a nurse who makes a ton of money and she vacations all the time to exotic places... shes known about this for how long? and shes in the bridal party and bringing a date and has contributed $0 so far... how do I respond?? say she can send the gift late???

Re: Ugh!

Yeah maybe I will right fine.

Maybe with a ...

because it's really not fine!

I would never do this to her. or even put her in this position. I've already been so easy going about everything... but she hasn't done this to any of her other friends she was in bridal parties for... I mean, she didn't give me a single gift because I figured well maybe she needs to save up for the wedding... and she thinks shes going to come empty handed? Who goes to an event, being aware of it for a whole year and PART of it... and then asks to bring the gift late?? as shes posting on facebook pictures of her spending loads of cash on herself? My poor friends are bringing gifts... why can't she??

Re: Ugh!

not sure how you'd actually word this but maybe you can tell her to write a check with the later date on it and you won't deposit it until that date.

that way, she can't 'forget'

Re: Ugh!

FH says I should tell her to sell the BM dress ... since she wasn't really a BM anyway lol...

that way she'd have the dress money as a gift...

UGH! I hate this drama and it has given me such a throbbing headache. i still don't even know what to do so I guess that means I am just ignoring it... this is asburd.
