That's so frustrating! People will always have something to say! Try not to let it get to you - you don't know the motive they have for saying something like that to you (jealousy? bitter about something that happened in their life?) You're never 'too young' to be happy!

I'm 22, almost 23, and I am the first of my HS classmates to be engaged. All of the moms of my old classmates that live in my town are so nosy and always ask if I have a job, how can we afford to buy a house, whats the rush, etc.... I am getting my Master's in December, my FH is almost 26 with a great job, and we are in the process of home buying! But people still need to make a point to say that we should have waited another 3-4 years... we have been dating for almost 6 years, and felt that the timing was right. My family and his family were so excited for us and those are the only people that really matter anyway!
UGH!
When I get married, it will be 3 months shy of our 14th anniversary! We've been together since we were 16. For YEARS people have been asking us 'when are you getting married', even suggesting that I break up with him to find somebody who is willing to pop the question. We love each other very much and our reason for holding off was our decision and wasn't anybody else's business. I felt a small sense of relief that people will no longer be asking! Then, the second after we were engaged the questions 'when are you having a baby' and 'when are you buying a house' started immediately. You need to do whatever makes you happy because people will always have their opinions and will always share them with you!

People who want to talk will always have something to say. I am 28, and I have heard my share of people's unwarranted opinions. In the end, it is what makes FH and you happy, so try not to let people get to you.

people always want to give their two cents. not for nothing, but this is why i don't plan on sharing things like my wedding song. i just don't CARE what other people think. (i'll also never share my future children's names before they are born). just do what in your heart is right. following your heart will never lead you astray, seriously. :)

To each their own and don't let anyone tell you how to live your life. I'm 31 years old and I didn't consider getting married until I was about 25 years old. I will say this, at this age I am in a totally different mind set then I was in my 20's so I'm sure that getting married now is a commitment that I am ready for that I wasn't ready for then. Everyone is different though and only you know what you are ready for. It's your life, live it the way you want.
UGH!
SO annoying!

I've gotten good at tuning out unwanted advice. Too many people want to give their two cents. In the end, you are the only one who can know if you are ready for marriage.
