Ugh. How selfish. I don't blame you for being upset. Are these people local? Are you even able to go to both?

Wow that's so messed up. I probably wouldn't go afterward since they knew the date before they picked their date. If it was an honest mistake I would go but between what they did at the e-party and now this I feel like there's some kind of reason they are pulling this.
I'm sorry you have to deal with this

The eparty is in FH's backyard. I dont know where the shower is but I doubt it will be too far

My FSIL planned her baby shower for the same day as my shower. Her solution was to not invite her mom's friends' and her aunt to her shower and then to make her mom throw her ANOTHER shower the day before so they could attend, so the bish got 2 showers.
I would probably just be the bigger person and pretend you don't know and go to both.

I want to but I'm not supposed to know when the shower is & my mom would be so upset if she knew I knew.

I would judge it on how you feel after your shower. You might be tired, want to go home & enjoy some of your gifts. Or maybe even show up at their party & be the better person! It's not your fault at all that they did that, don't upset yourself over it

Go and talk about your shower. Show up late and say, I made it. That way you didn't hurt your mom.

For this reason I would just play dumb and go. I think if you don't go, or do anything really it probably won't hurt FBIL at all since he seems really self-involved, but it may hurt other members of the family who didn't do anything to hurt you.

Any chance their party is the fake party to get you to your shower?

My first instinct is 'I wouldn't go' however you always want to be classy and keep your side of the street clean so I would go

I was going to say the same thing. Or maybe it really isn't your shower date and they wanted you to think it was so there won't actually be two events the same day.
