so FH apparently exchanges Christmas gifts with his friends (they are married) from college. so, he just emailed me that he sent them an EIGHTY DOLLAR BOTTLE of Veuve Clicquot Champagne!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Doesn't he know we can't afford this? am i going insane?

hahaha apparently he send this married couple who he is very close with a present every year for Xmas
that's so nice of them (they give us a gift as well) but seriously, $80 is insane. i dont want to get upset bc FH means well but i can't take the holiday spending anymore!

hey be happy he is a gift giver. i know it ***** he spend so much. my FH has to be reminded to buy his own brother a gift. lol. and i usually end up picking something up for his brother myself instead.

Sounds exactly like my FH. Its soo bad... I always feel like the cheap one(and I'm soooo not!) b/c I'm always telling him to stop.

Same as me! I alwasy get real nice gifts...but then FH always wants to get more more more... that are all super pricey! OY!
I had a similar issue recently...friends of ours moved into an apartment together and we went over for drinks...like a housewarming...I told him to buy a bottle..he shows up with ROCK BAND! yep..the whole friggin huge expensive game...
