OK, I'm an idiot when it comes to cars. I had AAA come and put the temporary tire on that came with the car, but now I need to either fix the old tire (had a big bolt stuck in it) or buy a new one. Is this something I should go to the dealer for, to a local gas station, to Sears or what?

Yes BJ's or Costco have great prices and good service.
I bought Yokomotos (Sp?) for my last car and they were the cheapest and best tire. So much cheaper than Perelli's and others.

Most BJ's and Costco's have a tire center, and they'll put it on for you, there is also a great place in Huntington, on Depot, near the intersection of new york ave by the train station, it's All Weather--they are really awesome, they'll give you a good price on either a new or used tire, if you pay cash, they won't charge you tax, and they'll put in on for you. I trust them not to scr*w me over!

Goodyear. I'm a huge promoter of Goodyear Aquatread tires. I swear by them. I even took my stupid performance tires off to put them on...they saved me from so many accidents...Love them!
