UGH! Florists!

UGH! Florists!

Captain Bill's offers free centerpieces with their contract. So I was like so psyched that we would be saving that $$. So FMIL and I went to the house florist to get an idea of the centerpieces and price out flowers for the engagement party. UGH! Nothing nice...even the upgrades were very disappointing.
I'm thinking that Captain Bill's is going to have t ogive us something else, either a credit for something else or another florist.

Any suggestions for a good florist and average price for each centerpiece??

Oh I know! same thing happened to me the other day w/ the Meadow club! They were so cheezyand tiny, they were made of carnations and cheap looking flowers. Even the upgrades were nothing special. now I'm freaking out bc its just one more thing I have to think about and come up with $$ for. I think Im gonna make them myself bc I just cant afford it! I was so disappointed

I didnt like what was included in our pkg either so I am having them give me a credit (15.00) per table and I am getting my flowers from Burtons who I love.

I know another bride who got married last November at Captain Bills and used Burton's for the flowers. I assume she got a credit.

I am using Flowers By Brian and couldn't be happier!

I love both Burtons and Laurie....Burtons wont come to Brooklyn and Laurie is booked!

I am most likely going with Expressions Floral Design!!!!! She is such a wonderful person and such a sweetheart. She is coming over on Tuesday. I will post my thoughts on Wednesday about her!!

So far she is great though!

I met with the house florist for Capt bills also. I found them extremely unprofessional and tacky. Capt Bills said they woudl give a credit, I think its $15 a table or something, not too much, but better than nothing.

I second checking out LABlossom
