ugh I could just Strangle FH (long vent)

So last night I went out with a friend because she's moving out of the country... I left FH with a chore..he had to put together the last batch of the German Menus. I just went to pack the pile away with the rest of the menus and noticed they were all stuck together!!! I told him like 3 times that liquid glue gets messy and is probably not a good idea to use..well he did so anyway and now they look like crap because the ones we got unstuck have smudges on them So I get mad and he gets mad at me for getting mad because he 'didn't do it on purpose.' Well obviously not, but I'm sure he just rushed through it and did it half- a$$ed.

Ugh he just doesn't get how frustrating it is to put so much effort into designing them, printing them, cutting them all out, rounding all the corners, etc. just to have them come out looking like crap. Too bad I don't have enough supplies, time, or patience to replace them all so his family will just get ugly menus and one or 2 of his friends will hafta use an English menu

I know its really just a small detail and the lights will probably be dimmed enough so people won't notice the smudges too easily (thats what I'm trying to believe anyway) but it just seems like this has been his attitude throughout the whole planning... the details don't matter to him and he settles for crooked, messed up things and I want it all to be perfect since I'm doing all the work.

Ok thanks for letting me vent... good to get out some steam so I don'T end up throwing something at him

yea I should have known... its just that I see him working on his model airplanes every night and he is so precise and tries to make it perfect so I figured gluing 2 pieces of paper together was something he could handle... boy was I wrong.

Sorry about that. my FH is so useless, I'd rather do things myself rather than aggrivate myself.

I'm sure that no one will notice the smudges.
Can you get an art eraser and perhaps lightly erase the smudges ?

At least he tried, I couldn't get DH to any of it.
But I totally understand why youre mad I would be furious too.

and OMG at the bride in the UK I can't imagine doing that! And then for him to stay with her!!!!!

I totally don't trust my FH to do anything! For our NY ceremony I left him in charge of making ordering the invites and he totally left off an RSVP date and any sort of RSVP information so I had to hand make RSVP cards!!! after that I told him I would rather do everything myself so that it's done right the first time! or if I mess up I can only be mad at myself!

OMG!

FH and I were having this discussion all night last night and today. He WON'T pick songs!

yeah, that stinks.... but I have to be honest, you can't leave this kind of stuff to them.... they simply don't care, becuase they're guys. I know that's a generalization, but probably only 1% of grooms would care whether or not there are menus at all.

Also, try to take step back from the planning (easy to say from my perspective, right? I'm done with it ) Seriously, it's only menus. None of your guests would even think about menus if you didn't place them on the table....

not to mention, wedding planning is not worth arguing about.... even if its about inviting the irritating uncle who's a drunk, or the friend's very rude significant other.... it will all be fogotten after the big day
