ugh.. I hate allergies. Anyone else suffering?

I took today as a sick day.. Why?

I got NO sleep last night. I couldn't breathe. I hate sleeping with my mouth open for air so everytime I'd close my mouth I'd be woken up since I couldn't breathe through my nose.. ARGH!!!!

I was up like every hour or so.

If I take my claritin before I go to sleep the cycle of hyper wakes me up in the middle of the night.. IS THERE NO END!??!?

Now I took my claritin when I woke up and now im alright (not 100%, but ok). And I feel guilty for taking a day off from work as they look carefully at Mondays and Fridays which are taken as sick days.

Sorry.. had to vent.

I have horrible allergies all year. I like Allergra and Zyrtec. I take Claritan if I am out of the others, but I don't find it as effective.

Do you have a humidifier and an air purifier? Those 2 things have been lifesavers for me.

I have a humidifier with a air filteration unit in it.

i have no separate air filteration

This room is just so DUSTY ARGH!!

I love Jim to death, but god this room is a TOMB!

It was his uncle's room when he lived here. Then it was on and off again his and his uncle's while both were not technically living here (Jim was living with his gf and his uncle was seeing a lady he ended up marrying and moving in with).

We moved into this room and it's 'state' in May of 2003. Nothing's changed except more of my own crap. Then his uncle died and now no one wants to touch a thing.. GOD HELP me the dust is killing me!

I moved 'spiderman' this weekend and he was LAYERED in dust.

Moving is going to be so hard.. but I need out! I live in this room and it's literally suffacating me!

I was prescribed Singulair for my asthma, which I was not taking because my inhalers were working well on their own. Then I sort of remembered something about Singulair and allergies. It's really been helping- I had the worst nasal congestion and NOTHING worked- I tried Claritin, Allegra, Sudafed. The nice thing about the Singulair is that the side effects don't bother me so much. Maybe it would help you too.
