Ugh! I'm so annoyed!

Ugh! I'm so annoyed!

I called one of the hotels where I have rooms blocked for people to stay at after my wedding and I asked if they would hand out a welcome bag for each room as guests checked in...well, they told me they would for $2 a bag. I was like, wait a minute...you have 7 rooms booked for my wedding and you're going to charge me $2/bag to hand them out???? Granted, it's only $15, but come on. The other hotel across town that I have booked isn't charging me to hand out bags. It's so silly!

I think it's the word 'WEDDING'! Like any vendor, they smell the money and can't control themselves!

Wow I have never heard of a hotel charging to do that! You would think it would be a free service!

my hotel said they can give them out as people check in, but it would be $5 a bag to put them in the rooms.

Same here ... two bucks to deliver to rooms. I think they won't give them at check-in (or that was $2 too - can't recall).

usuk2004- how did you guess????!!! I guess I never saw it in my contract or was in denial about it. The sales manager just called me back and pointed out that it was in the contract but that she would waive the fee 'just this once' for me.
