I am friends w a whole family. Pretty close. I went to the funeral today for their grandmother.
anyway..
There are 3 sisters. 1 lived w me. She considers me her best friend. Her daughter is like mine. She called me from the hospital 15 mins after her grandmother passed away.
her middle sister commutes to the city w my MOH. She really likes her and thinks of her as a good friend...for some reason.
well, no one told my MOH that the gma died. I mentioned it offhandedly in an email and now she's hurt that Kate, the sister didn't call to tell her. Maybe that's bc you aren't friends?
I feel bad bc I forgot to tell her bc really...she only knows Kate and I was wrapped up w the family, and the paper i was writing and FH and my dog etc.

i mean really, she's not friendly w the family at all. Just Kate. She despises the other 2 sisters for some reason.
I dunno...I feel bad but its not my responsibility to tell everyone when its not my family.
I was the only friend of anyone at the funeral today.

and not for nothing, but you did tell her in that email... it might have been in passing, but based on what you explained, that's how it should have been.. it doesn't sound like she was someone who should have been called immediately and informed.

yeah that's exactly how i feel. I'm close w this family. she only commutes w one sister and when I said I'm so sorry. I thought Kate would have told you! she said, I didn't see Kate on the train today and I never speak to her during the day.
yeah why? because YOU AREN'T FRIENDS!
sorry..it just irks me that I feel bad and its not my fault.
