Ugh.... my mother once again.....

So... Since I'm Greek Orthodox, this Sunday past was my Palm Sunday, and my father decided to get us tickets to the luncheon after services.

So, we are at a table with a bunch of people, and of course, are talking about none other than my wedding....

Ugh - like I wanted to talk about it on Palm Sunday.

Anyway, we start discussing my plans on whether or not FH and I are going to be joining the cocktail hour, and I was said NO - if people can't make it to the church to watch Pete & I walk down the aisle, then they are going to have to wait until we get announced into the reception....

My mother gave me this look like I had just created the cardinal sin, and just said LISA....

I'm sorry if you don't like the idea, but this is MY - KEYWORD MYYYYYY WEDDING DAY.... I'm gonna have it the way that I want like it or not......

Sorry ladies... Just had to vent... She's bothering me a lot lately.......

Vent away my dear. At the moment, my mother has been keeping her opinions at bay, surprisingly, but I'm sure she will spark back up again soon. So, I feel your pain, and I'm sorry for you that the people around you aren't getting the point that it's YOUR wedding. I can see that will be my biggest problem as well. Hang in there!

(we were lucky enough to have some time with our BP before the cocktail hour officially started. It was like our own little private reception. But we spent almost no time in the bridal suite)
