UGH! So annoying (long vent)

UGH! So annoying (long vent)

I had my seating chart completed and it was beautiful...A couple snags in the process but once I figured it all out I was very happy with where everyone was seated. Fast forward to this week....A receptionist at my office who I have been working with for 2 years and I get along very well with makes a big Boo boo and BAM get's fired on the spot! my entire office is coming to the wedding. The recpetionist texts me begging that she be sat at a table away from the rest of the office people...AND LITERALLY EVERY TABLE HAS TO BE REDONE TO SOME EXTENT BECAUSE OF THIS. You girls know how it goes, I move 2 people over here, then you have to move another 2 people, and another and before you know it, everything is getting moved around! So annoying!!!! I can't figure out how to make the seating arrangements work now without having some people in somewhat odd spots. FH tells me it isn't a big deal and to get over it lol....

The rest of the office is saying to tell the receptionist that she cannot be moved an to just be an adult about the situation but I think it's for the best that they be seperated...it's just too soon. and she's the type of girl that might say a low blow here or there to prove a point...I don't want my wedding to be the place where any of that drama goes down.

Do you girls have a few tables that are just plain wierd??? For example: My whole office is at one table with the exception of the girl who got fired, and two other receptionists. To fill the office table up, I'm thinking of adding my father's business partners and there wives at my office's table (2 couples)...they've never met and all of my father's other business partners will be seated somewhere else. Awkward????

in perspective it is a big deal to you at this moment. Having my wedding over at this point-it is not a big deal at all. I would leave her there to be honest with you and not even tell her anything. She is not going to start a war at your wedding. If you have already moved her-then just move anyone in her spot-you have no idea how many weird tables there were at my wedding. I didn't care-you sit to eat that is it

ITA...tell her that your sorry but the seating had been set and it would cause huge issues to change it...if she doesn't come its her problem. She can't expect you to accomodate her. If not I would just stick her at a radom table with an extra seat and let it be.

If moving her messes up your whole seating chart I say leave her where she is. She needs to learn how to be an adult and how to handle awkward situations. At the end of the day this is YOUR wedding it's not about her she needs to get over it.

i had the SAME exact thing happen to me. My coworker got fired one month before the wedding and begged me not to be seated with them. I knew she might start trouble so to avoid problems, i placed her in a different table. it made for some weweird tables but you get through it. i wouldn't have sat them together anyway.
