UGH - STD DAMN POST OFFICE RANT

So, we sent out our STD's, (pics in album) and, people are starting to get them in the mail. So, a couple of people didn't get the magnet. Apparently, they tore a hole in the envelope and fell out. I am so upset!

ETA: How careless can the post office be that a tiny poker chip rips a hole in the envelope and falls out? What the hell do they do with envelopes there??!!!???

Well, on the up side, we ordered 125 magnets and only sent about 85. So, we can give one to those who didn't get one.

I had a problem with my STDs also, the post office lost some of them...I wonder what they do with the mail sometimes!!! It gets me so mad too since my post office does it all the time with all my mail!! I know how frustrating it can be.

How the hell do they lose them? Did they run out of toilet paper or something??? Ugh. So annoying.

I know its so annoying we used to be part of netflix & they would loose the movies all the time, I don't know sometimes I really wonder if I can get a job where I screwup all the time but still get paid!!!

Awwwwwwww soooo sorry to hear that, how could they after you spent so much time on them, , I tell you the post office dont give a toot about other peoples mail, they toss and turn and just mis-handle peoples mail. Its funny bec alot of girls today were complaining about the post office too

ETS: The post office recently cut down on alot of workers so there have been so many problems with the mail recently, they just dont care

We sent our STD's and they got so bumped aroound that many of our magnets came off the STD. They didn't tear a hole, but still, how rough do you have to be to make a magent fall off??

I heard from a couple of friends, they got the magnets. Hopefully most get them! My friend did say that the envelope was pretty mangled, she thought it might have been from the rain.

We are so sorry to hear about this. What was the post office with the STD's is the question. That happening is so crazy. They need to take respect and take care of all our mail.

that totally s u c k s
i've had that problem before... if you don't have them hand stamped/cancelled they go through the machine and the machine can catch on things like that.
i'm sorry it happened to you.
i'm glad you have extra magnets though!

Yea i ran into the problem too with my magnets and two inserts. Some of them never showed up to the person addressed to or even sent back to me. I couldn't understand it but it seems that since the magnet was thick that when it goes through the machines it would clog it up and rip the envelope (or so the person at the post office told me) I was like how is that? My magnet is just as thick as some greeting cards? She couldn't give me an answer

First of all let me say that I am really sorry this happened to you.

Ok, I might get yelled at here but my step-mom works for the post office (mail carrier) and she is one of the hardest working people I know.

They don't handle each piece of mail by hand, they have lots of machines to do it. If your envelope is not flat and smooth you probably have some problems. If there is something in there that is hard that can get caught in the machine it will rip your envelope. It may seem like they don't care, and most of them don't, but you have to realize that they have to deal with millions of these things.
I am sure after a while they just become annoyed, hence the whole disgruntled thing...

Sorry, I just felt like I needed to stick up for my step-mom.
