FMIL refuses to call her cousin to see if him and his wife are coming to the wedding. She invited them and now she doesn't want to call them to confirm whether or not they are coming.
FH and I barely know them so we aren't calling. I told her if we don't have answer from them by wednesday then I am not counting them and if they show up the day of she will have to tell them to leave.
Why does she make my life so difficult - she has been such a problem during the whole wedding planning.

I feel your pain..now that we're in the home stretch for invite responses, FMIL couldn't understand why my mother wanted her (FMIL) to call the people who didn't respond. She told my mother they could always email her (my mom) their response right? My mom's response - Ummm...no 1> they don't have my mom's email address (and she's not giving that out) and 2> they were already given a stamped and addressed envelope - all they have to do is fill it out. If they can't be bothered to respond then we're counting them as no's and they can't come - end of story. What is wrong with people - Good God!!

I would call... I don't understand why your FMIL wont call, but you need to know if they are attending... I would be kind of frustrated about this...
