ughh.... so i guess house closing couldnt be that easy....
so the lawyer says he needs the morgage commitment papers, i found it weird cause the morgage company just told me we were set to close, only needed insurance which got taken care of, so i call up the mortgage company and they say that they havent received the title from the atty! a week ago fh told me that the title came in and is complete.... and we are going into overtime over our 30 day lock.... in addition to the sellers atty saying there is a hold up in the house they are buying and that it might get pushed back a couple of weeks, ughhhhh

i know exactly how you feel we have the same type of stuff going on. i wish they would just call each other.
it will all work out and in the end it will be worth it, but i'm sure you feel the same as i do in that...i just want to close already!

ughhhh... just called up mortgage co again today... they said that our atty just received the title today.... and that the morgage commitment that we were waiting on----- our atty's assistant said they received it on 8/20/04(friday) and that the assistant must not have given it to the atty...

There is no such thing as an 'easy' closing. You should always expect issues to happen.
The only chance somebody has of an easy closing... is the person that pays CASH. And even with a cash deal you can always run into title issues.
