I have people I really wanted to invite but I left off the list for that reason. I have a large family and we just can't afford to invite 300 people.

Wow. I don't even wanna tell you ladies that I'm freaking out over 175 people on the guest list while you have have over 200... my venue's MAX is 200 people!
We did this: We made a guest list as soon as we got engaged. We just reviewed it and people we haven't spoken to SINCE we got engaged (6 months ago...) and if we KNOW we've made an effort... we cut them. We'll probably do the same thing around October when we do the STDs :)

I'm so scared for this!!! Our first invite list is 325, and those are people we HAVE TO invite (I have a HUGE family). I'm really hoping it doesn't go up once we review the list for our STD's!

Wow that's a scary amount of people! I already told my mom and FMIL that we are not inviting people just to invite them. Thank goodness my room doesn't hold a crazy amount of people!

I got stressed when our guest list hit 200 people and we originally thought we'd struggle to get 125! We did trim it down a bit, but it was a puzzle just to determine who to cut because I feel so guilty cutting people, regardless of whether or not I even know them. ![]()

Ugh the worst! When we started looking at venues, we looked at rooms that held 180 max. Our guest list is well over 350 now.

Our list has grown a little...but everytime FH thinks of someone to add I tell him, its an even exchange so if you just HAVE to invite so and so, figure out who is coming off the list on your side. lol

WOW!! you ladies are going to have some parties!!! I wanted the smallest wedding I could (I prefer intimate settings) and we're at about 140 and I heard that 20% don't come.. I've been told that my our hall and other women who have gotten married... so I may end up on the VERY small side! eek!!
