UGH...Registry let-down

UGH...Registry let-down

Well, we did BBB last night...but couldn't find a complete bed set we liked....the only one we kind of liked was a fake suede that was over $300 just for the comforter...I simply cannot justify that. We also left off a lot of smaller essentials since we know we're living with his parents for a few months and won't be able to use it or have a place to put it.....

Really! I am sorry. I agree with, I can't spend that much $$ on a comforter. I am a quilt person and their quilts are expensive too.

So you guys are officially registered at BBB?!!

i experience the same problem with bedding. we still have not registered for anything. well, a down comforter, so if worst comes to worst we will just get our own duvet. they are so expensive, and pottery barn has a really nice one for not so bad, so we will probably pick it up for ourselves.

you might want to put some of the higher $$ items on for group gifts, plus after the wedding if the item is on your registry for 3+months then you get a discount when you go and purchase it for yourself (accd to my registries - BBB. Fortunoff, Crate & Barrel)

We are technically 'registered' at BBB, but haven't scanned anything yet. I think I'll save that for this weekend. I hope FH doesn't get too carried away. I really don't want people buying me expensive things

If you can't find one you like at a place you registered at, maybe ask for it as x-mas or b-day gifts. Tell a few friends and maybe they'll get it for you.

Don't limit yourself to just one registry. Maybe another store would have the bedding you are looking for, or the prices. Most brides I know registered at 2 stores, sometimes 3.

people have been buying engagement gifts off our registry and you'd be surprised what you get. my fh and i registered very modestly at first ?(we didn't have any complete gift over $50), but then my mom advised us to add to the list. people do like to go in on things... i would add it and see what happens.

I got my bedding at Fortunoff, for everything that included a comforter, bedskirt, pillow shams and the queen sheet set that includes the fitted sheet, bed sheet and two pillow cases it came to a grand total of $250.

If you don't find one that you like you can try domestications. They always have pretty ones in their catalogues. If you find one you like (maybe someone that you can drop a hint to) will get it for you. But I know how you feel we didn't find one that we loved either!
