Ok, so my shower is supposed to be a surprise. I'm almost positive it's this Sunday @ 2PM @ Lambrous. I've known that for awhile.
I said 'Happy birthday!' to an old family friend (she knew my grandparents foreverrrr!) this morning. She wrote back 'Thank you! See you on Sunday! Thanks again!'
Now, I am not mad. She is such a sweet woman + I already know. HOWEVER, I think when she remembers she is going to feel badly, and I don't want her to! It's an honest mistake.
Normally I would write back 'you're welcome!' However, should I just not say anything, and then on Sunday if she says 'I'm so sorry!' or anything, just say that I haven't been on facebook since Friday since I've been so busy?
I just don't want her to feel badly.

Re: uh oh
Yeah don't write back and maybe say that you didn't read her email so the 'surprise' wasn't 'ruined.'

Re: uh oh
I wouldn't write back. She might not even notice or remember she said anything. I had an inkling when my shower was and then a cousins gf said 'see you next Saturday' and I kinda made a face, said 'ok' and she walked away. She never apologized or anything.

Just play dumb as if you didn't even notice. Don't let her feel bad.

Re: uh oh
at least you know to look your best on sunday lol...I would definitely pretend I didn't read it or email her back telling her that it was supposed to be a suprise and keep it your little secret that you know
