Uh oh - he's on a tirade

Uh oh - he's on a tirade

I don't know about the rest of your FH/DH's, but MY DH turns into a total PSYCHO when he watches college football. I'm sitting here in the living room with him and he's blithering on about 'that #($#(@)&_%@$ just lost a touchdown for us....that piece of ^%&^% stupid dumbass ^@^#%!'
And then has to explain to me why this poor athlete shouldn't even be playing the sport, that the referee needs to get his head out of his a$$, that the coach should be kicked in the nuts because he sucks so bad....

You'd think he would know after 3 years that I DON'T CARE!!!!!

Man, if his team loses he's going to be in a bad mood and that's not good for me. I'm trying to get knocked up here!

Luckily, My DH hates sports, but I remember my father being a psycho like that!! And my parents wondered where we learned to curse when we were younger!!

I feel you girl! every sunday when the jets are on my Dh does the same exact thing. he yells at the tv like they hear him and i tell him please it just a game. and he like Just a game i would like for once my team too win. my dh is also a big Notre dame fan and he also say's the coach does not know how to teach his team to play right. i told him go and be a coach and teach them. I have to go out on the weekends because i dont want to hear him yelling. if you ever need to talk fm me.

I told my DH the same thing - if you think you know how to coach better, then why don't you be a coach!!!!! If not then shut it!!!!

I'm going to have to go upstairs soon so I don't have to hear his yelling. grrrrr.....Thank goodness for wireless internet

Thanks for the hugs!

I am guilty of this behavior. So much so that on Sundays my mom tried to 'tone it down' by making my father and I watch TV in separate rooms.. thinking we played off each other's emotions.

It didnt work. Instead we'd scream down the hall to each other about the (insert any foul language we can think of at that time - and we're talking a Navy man and his daughter here) refs, players, COACHES!, etc. Heck even the fans tick us off from time to time.

I can't explain it. But I know I do it. Worse.. I'm guilty of screaming at Jim (whos not big into football) when he doesnt pay attention to my ranting about a replay or watch closely enough to see what I saw.. or something like that.

I try to say that when the game is over, it's over, but honestly it isn't. It's addictive. Kinda like my stepmom getting all worked up when she goes out shopping during big sales.. the crowds, the bad quality of clothes, the service, oh god those restrooms. She's a woman who makes a shopping trip into a mini dramatic soap opera!! WHO CARES?!?!?!? I'M MISSING MY GAME!
