SWINE FLU! She had apprarently been sick with is last week thought she was better and just had to go home again. Now everyone is scrambling around with antibacterial wipes.

I don't think antibacterial wipes/gel will do much though...that stuff kills bacteria, and the swine flu is caused by a virus.
Upping your vitamin-C and zinc intake will help boost your immune system though

Eh, it's just like any other flu really. My sister goes to St. Francis Prep aka Swine Flu Prep and she didn't get sick at all. Just don't use their phone or keyboard (or at least wash it before you do) and you should probably be good.

screw the antibacterial crap! ALCOHOL PADS! Good ol' fashion alcohol. yea, don't touch their phone or computer. if you have to touch hte computer, wear gloves. dont touch your eyes or mouth without washing your hands first.
that person should get in trouble for knowingly coming to work sick!

That's not exactly fair. I have come to work sick before because I *HAD* to. The way the economy is going, especially with lay-offs around every corner, I'm making every effort I can to keep my job!
In fact, my co-worker went on vacation and the Monday after her vacay, she was sick with a flu and she was afraid it was swine flu so she didn't come in. She was FIRED because you're not supposed to take sick days after a vacation. Effed up, but that's the way it is!

Wow! That's awful, but I guess every situation is different. My officemate once came in with a stomach virus, and I was soooooo mad. She literally sat down in her chair, and put her trash bucket in front of her. I proceeded to pick up my laptop and move to a different office for the rest of the day.

omg really? FIRED for being sick? I interviewed at a place and they told me that they don't want people calling in sick, they want them to come in and then go home if they are sick. I didn't get the job because I told them that if I'm THAT sick I'm not going to risk getting others sick. I can understand maybe allergies or the runs, but the FLU or a VIRUS.. I just don't think people that have them should be forced into work.

it $ucks when you have a job where you don't get paid if you don't go in though
i have a cold, and one of the families i babysit for doesn't pay me if i don't go (whether they cancel or i'm sick) and they don't have me come when i'm sick, so i get majorly screwedddd

how did she know it was the wine flu?????
PS-The swine flu **** isn't mandatory for anyone- so far only the seasonal flu vaccine has been mandated for certain employees/students
