So annoyed I just got off the phone with my RH and this was the first time since booking that I have called them....just so you know, I am not an annoying bride that calls them all the time. And first off they put me on hold three different times! While I am in the middle of talking! Then when I ask about the tastings he didn't offer any information just said 'Yea, it's at the end of the month' No... 'Sure I would love to set you up with an appointment here is the date and the time.' Then I ask if I can bring my parents to the tasting (even if i pay extra) I figured its the least I can do for them, they are paying most of the wedding. Anyway, he says that they can not come....Fine whatever! So then I confirm that we can come early of the day of the wedding to get ready and take pictures! And he states 'you can only come three hours before the wedding.' So I said very calmly well when we booked you had said we can come early in the morning to get ready for the whole day, That was why we booked on a Friday' And he says, 'Well we don't do that anymore' So basically my whole plan is off! I can't get hair and makeup done there and i can't have our first look there because, my guest are coming 30min prier to the event so I have two hours to get in all of my girls hair and makeup and pictures....I don't think so! Uhhggg I feel like crying :(

Its not your problem if they don;t do that anymore. When you booked there they did and they need to honor it so that's what your second phone call needs to be ablout and I would ask to speak to the highest person there and then continue to call and complain until what was agreed upon is done. That is SO not right and it was extremely rude of them to put you on hold 3 times in the middle of talking. I would also write a letter complaining about all that has happened and changed since you booked the venue. I am so sorry you have to deal with all this so close to your wedding date!! Oh no don't cry! I don't blame you for being upset...but I would simply say to them that since they said it when you booked with them, they SHOULD have to honor you arriving early and getting ready there. You can't tell a bride no you can't come early after they agreed to it. I would def say something to them about it.

Thank you ladies for making me feel better!!! :) I called my FH and he is so wonderful and such a calming person. He said that he will call and just respectfully explain why he feels that what they are doing to us is not right and ask them to please reconsider. So, even if they don't change and will not let us come early at least I have a FH that will try for me

Its crazy what halls will do and say to get our business and than close to the date the arrangements change! Just breathe! Everything wil work out and you will have an amazing day!!! Thats sweet your fh has your back!

Yes, update us! I'm sure it will all work out! From this whole planning experience, I've learned that the bride/groom is really on their own.... unless you have a wedding coordinator. It's unfortunate, but these are businesses and you don't get alot of them that go out of their way or truly care in the end. With that said, I HAVE heard good things about Giorgio's ..and I'm sure your day will be just great despite this mishap

Don't be sad. Maybe look into getting ready someplace else? This way you will still have time to get there and take photos (3 hours is a lot of time to be there at the venue taking pix!). It will all work out, don't worry. Unfortunately, if it's not in your original contract there's not much you can do to fight them on it.

I can't believe they told you we don't do that anymore. Talk to the manager and see what they can do. Like everyone said, just start thinking of a back up plan, maybe a hotel nearby? That's what I'm doing because I can't go to the RH until 2 hours before and then we are just going to do a first look and photos somewhere else. Good luck!!

I heard that one of the RH's old banquet manager was putting things in the contract that they just couldn't physically handle, he has since left them. I am not sure if this is your sitation. My friend spoke with them and they worked everything out as best they could for him.
