uh..oh

I just came back from the dentist and a few errands- I am soooo bummed out. I have a cavity- I am 30 and have never had a cavity and have been so thankful because even though years ago I worked as a dental assistant I am PETRIFIED of havein work done on my teeth.. I know it mind sound really petty and stupid but I am sooooooo freaked out- just thinking about it makes me have an anxiety attack!!!

don't worry! you'll be fine! i hate the dentist, hate needles...you get the picture! I just had my 2nd cavity ever filled a few weeks ago and i was so afraid, but my dentist used some special instrument that numbs everything before he even gave me the novacaine! hopefully it will be the same for you!!!

does your dentist offer the gas? I genetically have bad teeth and have cavities all the time and I would not get them filled if I couldn't get the gas! I have to admit, I actually look forward to going because of the gas

LOL.. they do have the gas- I think I might need something a bit stronger- valium perhaps... jk I know I feel like a baby but it's so scary. I don't mind the cleanings. I guess I will have to take it like a big girl lol.... I am going next week eeek

see i'm the opposite - the cleanings kill me! the fillings aren't so bad b/c i'm numb. it's freaky but doesn't hurt.

i just found a ridiculously large cavity this morning. funny thing is it doesn't even hurt, but i am going to get it fixed before it starts to hurt

It only scares me with new dentists, I lived in Va for 10 years, my dentist was great! I'm scared to go to a new one! Fillings aren't bad, I just hate the smell!
