I have a number of photos (most from other photographers) posted in my ultimateweddings.com gallery.
Someone just posted this in my gallery: 'Isn't this photograph protected under copy-right law?
Do you think I should remove all photos that weren't taken by me?
The person that posted just joined today and only posted that one comment. They haven't made any other posts, which has me concerned.
Opinions please!!!

I am a lawyer - remove them. If they're protected by copyright, it's illegal to post without their consent.

I don't want to say definitely you could get in trouble but to be in on the safe side....take them down.

Every proof that anyone has posted is protected by a copyright.

Technically it is illegal, but I think most photographers view the postings as a way to get new business. I think if you tried to profit off the photos, the photographer would definitely come after you.

I dont think any normal photographer is going to have issue with your posting provided you didnt claim credit for them (as Im sure you did not). If you are really worried about it - just email your photographer and ask if its okay. Im sure he will be happy to get the free publicity.
