Ultimate Sounds DJS..long
So yesterday I went with the FI and a BM to have a second meeting with Ultimate Sounds in Queens. I actually brought my check book along thinking if all went well that we'd book.
When we got there Frank, the owner was busy and we wound up speaking with some guy Robert.
****Robert was rude, abbrasive, and pushy.**** Geo and I are steering away from some of the more traditional formalities of the wedding....ex: no boquet toss, there will be no wedding cake and therefore no cake cutting music (Vienese instead), and we are having a buffet dinner so that people can dance all nite.
*Robert basically TOLD ME I WAS PLANNING MY WEDDING ALL WRONG! *
*When I asked what kind of music he would suggest for my event HE ASKED ME IF I WAS HAVING A 'WHITE WEDDING'!!!!! (I guess the color of my gusts dictates the quality of service)![]()
*He told me that PEOPLE EXPECT TO DO THE MACARENA AT WEDDINGS AND WILL BE DISAPPOINTED IF I DONT PLAY IT...
*He told me THAT BY NOT HAVING A CAKE I WAS TAKING AWAY FROM THE FORMALITY AND TRADITION OF THE EVENT.
~~When we asked him why he had the opinions he had all he could say was, 'I have 20 years in the business..' SO WHAT>>>!!????!! A good Dj/MC works with the type pf party and with the flow and moomentum of the room and night...they DO NOT DICTATE THEIR OWN FRIGGIN' CRUSTY WEDDING IDEAS ON OTHERS!
I'm so sorry to be ranting, but he basically put down the decisions Geo and I made with good reason, and TOLD ME MY WEDDING WOULD BE CRAP (he knows, he has 20 yrs in the business) . *HE ACTUALLY ARGUED with me about it. He got loud with my BM and the owner Frank had to COME OVER and try to redirect the conversation.
The truth is, this guy Robert showed me his Mc video in the same sitting and it SUCKED!!!! No one was dancing. He just kept babbling in the the mic.
Well, not using THEM.
I met with Mark of Energy Entrtainment last week and he was the coolest guy! I'll aslo be meeting with FM Entertainment.
