Did anyone have this test done?? I am scheduled to go for it in 2 weeks and I am having 2nd thoughts.

Its a screening test to see if your baby could have DS or any chromosomal birth defects.

Oh I did it. Only because if my child was going to have downs or something else Id like to know as much about it asap before they were born. Also it might be beneficial for the medical staff to know during delivery.

I ad it done as well.... You dont HAVE to have it... I was nervous about it as well BUT I did it... I also just wanted to know so I could be prepared for when she came... If you dont want to, dont.. Its all up to you... Good luck with it if you decide to go for it... Everything will be just fine! And congrats!!!

It's a very easy test, no risk to the baby, I just did the at home blood sample yesterday and I have the ultrasound appointment on the 23rd. I'm 34, so I'm on the fence about the amnio b/c there is a small risk to the baby and I'm already a high risk pregnancy. I'm one of those people though who needs to know if there will be a problem like DS.
