um am I supposed to invite officiant to reception

um am I supposed to invite officiant to reception

our officiant is performing ceremony at hall at 6:30, do I invite them to the reception? Is this a necessity? I mean I get dj and photog/videographer, but unsure about this...

i kno im inviting them.. but they told us they will leave after the coctail hr

Thats a good questions since I was actually wondering the same thing. I know that some people invite them but not everyone.We weren't planning on inviting him and we figure he'll probably leave following the ceremony but 'what if' he doesn't?

Hopefully we'll get a better idea tomorrow when we meet with him.

and if they ARE invited would u just let them know verbally, or would u send them an invitation?!

we're getting married on Pastor April's bday. Should I invite her? With a guest? I like her so I wouldn't mind, but I'm not sure if she would think it's weird.

I'm pretty sure you should invite them. I don't think most attend...but its a nice gesture. I would send an invitation too.

I just assumed that was what I would do...never really thought about it untill I read your post...LOL...

Yes, you should invite the officiant. Due to prior commitments, (s)he may not attend. If the officiant accepts, (s)he should be included in the regular guests, not the vendor headcount.
