In fact, unless you habitually have rough sex, bruises are not a usual byproduct of sexual intercourse. As for the bruises, I'm afraid you need to get over your embarrassment and consult a doctor, preferably a urologist, since the bruising may be a symptom of some condition that has more serious consequences than not having sex as often as you would like.

Not a bruise... but he did have a tic on the tip once.

No, but I have heard that it can snap if you bend it when it is erect, and that can cause major injuries. I think there was a long discussion about this on Howard Stern a few years ago.
