should i be looking for a dress for rd?
ETA are their guidelines? things i should or should not look for?

my mom says that 'people like us' don't dress up for showers. so i have this amazing shower dress that i may not even be able to wear. so i might wear it to the rehearsal dinner. so.....i guess not all showers are fancy!! and as for the rehearsal dinner...i think it just depends where it is. i guess my parents are planning on having a fancy one?

I just bought my shower dress today, it's a nice satin brocade dress today. But I'm having a very casual RD so I'll probably just wear a casual dress.
It all depends on the setting of our shower and RD.

i havent started to look for a dress for either the shower or rehearsal dinner, but im defintly dressing up. i guess u dont have to, but i loove getting dressed up and wanna look gorgeous anyways, lol.

Do whatever you want. I just wore a plain cotton dress for my RD and my shower was a $20 dress from H&M. THats me though.....Im a jeans and Tshirt kinda person.
Do whatever you feel comfy doing not what everyone else does...there is no right or wrong.

we are having a very casual RD at a mexician restaurant, so i plan on wearing just a nice top and jeans probably, nothing over the top but a little nicer then usualy.
for my shower, it was a surprise and FH brought me clothes...i would have liked to worn something a little nicer but i didn't really have a choice.

Yeah my dress was from H&M also, nothing crazy. It's all up to you and your style.

im getting decked out for both lol but thats me, i would at least dress up a little while still feeling like you and feeling comfortable... you could do nice dress pants and a dressy top

Its up to you I bought. Dresses for both. My rd dress was from white house black market, and my shower dress is bcbg from lord. And taylors but me my mom and sister like dressing up

I will definitely dress up for my RD, but for my shower, no way. I don't really like wearing dresses at all and personally am looking forward to someone surprising me and being in my comfy jeans

I'm getting dressed for my shower, well after I walk in and am surprised.
Our RD is a bbq in FIL's backyard, so I'll probably wear jeans and a nice top or capris (depending on weather).

Go for whatever you are most comfortable in...pants and a nice top or a dress... I will most likely wear nice pants and a fancy blouse (blouse is such an old lady word) to my RD but I'll **** it up and wear a dress to my shower.
