This!! I think I have at least 10 people I would like to un-invite at this point. I'm hoping they just don't come.

Re: UN-Inviting guests???
I have. Here is the situation:
I was working in a school district and became close with several people. I left the district and then got engaged months later. When I sent out the STDs, I sent it to those people from the other school district. When my mom sent out my bridal shower invites, one of those people from the s.d. called and said she wasn't coming. She was the only one who didn't send me a gift. I haven't talked to her in over a year, so I felt I shouldn't invite her to the wedding. It wasn't that I'm not inviting her because she didn't give me a gift, it is that she didn't even acknowledge when she got the STD then the bridal shower invite.
If you've become out of touch with certain people, then I would say go for it. I don't know what your situation is, so I don't know much more advice I can give. HTH

Re: UN-Inviting guests???
Honestly, I want to be surrounded by people who love us and want to be there for us on our wedding day - not by jealous, or just fake people who i mis-judged. I always give people a chance, but I'm really on the fence about someone. I sent out my STD's in April and plan to send out the invitations by September. My sister asked me for my shower list and I told her to not send out anything until she talks to me first because I have a feeling I will be altering the list.
I guess thats the downfall of sending out STD's LOL

If you don't want them there and you have since changed your mind, don't invite them. There's no reason they should be there if you don't think they'll be happy for you. If they get mad over it, they'll get over it in the same amount of time.

Thanks I AGREE - its like, chances are I probably won't ever talk to this person again so why waste the invitation/stamp and my energy LOL
I hate to sound like such a witch but it is what it is!

You don't sound like a witch at all --- it's you and your fiances day, make it be surrounded by people that love you both. People will get over it and if they don't, who cares you probably won't ever talk to them again.

Re: UN-Inviting guests???
CRASHING! I have a question. Now lets say the guests you want to x out, are my dads co-workers. He invited 6 of them, and with a guest, that 12 people!!! Now since I sent the STDs, my dad has retired! He is now travelling back and forth to El Salvador. Should I still invite them?

find out who your dad is really close too if he isn't talking to many of them anymore then why invite them?
tell him you would like to cut the list down, and he needs to pick people who he is still planning to have a relationship with
he isnt gonna see them again- and neither will you - why invite strangers to your wedding?

Re: UN-Inviting guests???
i have 4 people from one family that i'm uninviting but it's my sister's ex and his parents and brother. they had a terrible breakup after 7 years so i dont give a s h i t that they got an STD, they're not getting an invitation!
i also have one person who i'm uninviting that is my cousin's ex-husband - they just got divorced last month so even though he technically got an STD, he is no longer invited obv

Re: UN-Inviting guests???
yes! We are not inviting a few of FH's cousins along with an aunt and uncle after a huge fallling out after a death in the family. They were even invited to the shower and they came with gifts, but after what happened FH does NOT want them there, and I have to agree.
Even if you send someone a STD, circumstances change and if you can no longer or don't want to invite them, I think it's your choice. We received a STD for FH's cousin and they wound up calling off the wedding without telling anyone.
