Un-official Review...
Don't have time to write the 'official' review yet, but here are some highlights!
The ceremony was BEAUTIFUL... the string trio was PERFECT (The Preddice Family) and our church soloist sang everything PERFECTLY! It was such a personal ceremony and everyone that attended - which was almost everyone that went to the reception - said it was the most beautiful ceremony they've ever been to! My favorite songs done... 'You Raise Me Up' (soloist accompanied by strings) and 'God Blessed the Broken Road' by Rascal Flatts (soloist).
Doug Gordon from Patken Photographers and Everyone at the Crescent are tied for my favorite day-of vendors. They were WONDERFUL!!!! Doug kept us laughing and relaxed during our photo sessions and caught SO much during the reception. I actually get to pick up my proofs TODAY!!! So fast! (Planting Fields closed on us due to the weather, so we couldn't go there.
.). But, we get to go back out with Doug to take beach pictures on a nicer day!!
And Denise from the Crescent said they'll treat us to dinner, which was really nice of her. Stacy, Campbell and Denise were AMAZING from the Crescent. Stacy kept commenting how she's never seen such amazing details at a wedding! She loved everything. And they were GREAT calming me down during one part of the night when I wasn't happy with one of my other vendors' 'performance'. The service overall and the FOOD was out of this world! And we paid extra to extend the cocktail hour by a half hour, but because of the crappy day and so many guests were there earlier than 4:30, they asked us if we would like to open the cocktail hour even earlier, which was very nice of them. So, our cocktail hour was almost TWO hours long, and everyone LOVED it!!!
I LOVED all of my programs, reception packs, tags, tablecards, etc. which were all done by katie ([email protected]). She was FABULOUS and everything - from my invitations to my candy table signs - looked SO classy!!
Me and my parents keep hearing about how everyone loved the details... and the candy bar was a HUGE hit!!!
The cigar bar was a hit, too... every single cigar was taken! And the ones I picked were all different so they suited everyone's tastes.
Everyone loved the framed pictures that were set up in the living room prior to our cocktail hour, which is something the Crescent recommends doing... and OH BOY did we have a lot of pictures. It made it very personal and my friends said it was a great conversation piece.
The D.J. was GREAT... Then 'til Now. Steve was the MC... perfect. Not 'in your face' at all, yet everyone loved the music and dancing. And my relatives loved that it was the first wedding they've ever been to where they didn't leave 'deaf'. lol
LOVED my gobo with our monogram... LOVED our cake from The Crescent. They also made our monogrammed ice sculpture, which was nice.
ROYALTY was FANTASTIC. The drivers (Nick and I never got the other guy's name... oops) were out of this world!
Jacqueline Nicole did my mom's and my make up PERFECTLY and she was a PLEASURE to have around the morning of the wedding.
Kerri from Syosset Cactus did my hair... sooo pretty! She's so much fun to have around, too... and she even wore her Bon Jovi t-shirt, i think just for me since she knows I'm a Bon Jovi freak!!
The FLOWERS... Wow. They were perfect every part of the day. From our bouquets and boutonnieres to the CHURCH decorations with rose petals on our custom aisle runner to the reception flowers... just perfect. And all the ladies loved that we gave each of them a long stemmed rose, which were our church decorations.
