Unbelievable!!

To recap the story from earlier in the week...I had to schedule an amnio for this morning since my baby's risk for Down's was 1/5 when it should have been at least 1/530.

We arrived at the hospital and were greeted by a doctor who said she had potentially very good news for us. It seems the blood test results looked fine and that there was a transcription error in the nuchal #. The lab did not open until 9, so we had to wait for about 20 minutes for the recalculation. Long story short...my actual risk is 1/50,000!! You can't imagine the anguish we went through this week due to a TYPO!! We are so overjoyed!!!!

Another piece of good news is that since I was there anyway and had the Level II scheduled for the 12th, they did it today. Everything looks great with that as well and we got the 4D pictures...amazing!!

What a week and I was on vacation!!! Some April Fool's!

So glad to hear all turned out perfectly! We recently went thru something similar and it has solidified my decision not to do any more optional testing. The errors and high false positive rates just cause too much stress!
