Since we got engaged over 6 months ago FH and me have been saying that our honeymoon would most definitely be in Aruba. I've read a million reviews from you girls about Aruba and all of u had positive things to say so I knew we were making a good choice. But lately I've been thinking about going to Greece - I've been in love with the Greek Isles since I can remember but really never had a reason to go until now. I ran the idea with FH and he's all for it as long as the cost isn't astronomical.
So now we have a decision to make and I dunno which one is the best to make...If u girls had to make this choice wat would u pick: Greec or Aruba?

I wento To Aruba with Fh last Summer.. I LOVEDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD it ... I wanted to go back for HM but he wants to do something Diffferent... Aruba was awesome.... We might do Greece only because Our Hall gave us 10 Free Nights at their hotel in Greece If we dont use Greece for HM we will use it for our 1 Year anniversery Trip since all we would ahve to pay for is Air. We might do Hawaii . BUT I WANT ARUBA AGAin LOL

I went to Greece years ago, and it was truly one of the most incredible experiences of my life.
I guess though it depends on why you want to go. If you're just going to go to a resort or on a cruise and do the tourist thing or whatever, I don't know if it's worth it. But if you're going to go and experience the place and the history and stand in the ruins and breathe it all in, it's truly incredible.
Go, visit the ruins of the oracles, stand in silence looking over the mountains, and breathe in the air. There's an energy there that's just indescribable. There are few times in my life that I have felt as centered and grounded as I did on that trip.
Of course, if you just want pretty landscape, etc, it's got that too! I'm just saying, it can be a great experience if you want it to be.

i would go to greece because i feel your honeymoon is a once in a lifetime trip, thats why we are going to hawaii, we thought briefly about the caribbean but felt you could go there anytime, and even with kids, the others i wouldn't want to take those long flights with kids

I would consider this....it's your honeymoon...which one are you least likely to do in the future???
I know for me I would pick Greece, because I am less likely to get back there once the kids start and your future takes over....Not taking anything away from Aruba....I just feel like you could still do Aruba b/c it is on this side of the world :)

it depends on the type of honeymoon you want. Do you want to stay in one location go to the beach..relax. Or you want to hop around on your vacation and be adventurous?
How long are you planning a honeymoon for? I would say Greece required a min of 2 weeks to make it worth it. Also you have to estimate 1 day of travel time for each island you go to.....

My DH and I went to Italy for our HM instead of doing a resort HM (even though that would have been MUCH more relaxing) and it was the best decision we made! We both haven't traveled much and it was so nice to take this trip and experience the culture together. I feel like we actually got to go see some of the world... and some amazing landmarks. I like that we did it on our HM because we started off our married life with such an amazing experience.

Greece is absolutely gorgeous.....I would say Greece.
You can do Aruba for your one year since it's closer...
It also depends on how much time you have. I would not suggest spending only one week in Greece JMO

As lovely as Aruba is - it's so close, and easily able to travel to.
As a once in a lifetime trip that will be memorable for the start of life as husband and wife, I think the trip the Greek Isles would be phenomenal! The history and beauty of the area would be so romantic to share with your FH!

and this is from someone who is going to Aruba for their HM!
FH doesn't like flying so we can't go too far
but i agree with the girls above - you may be able to go back to ARuba for your first, fifth, tenth or whatever anniversary
but when are you going to have the money and the freedom to go to Greece!

i agree with this...we did aruba because after a year and half of planning, saving, and no vacations, we wanted to lay on a palm tree lined beach and do absolutely nothing but relax. which is EXACTLY what we did. you only need about a week for this HM which is all the time we had cause DH had to go back to work.
i definitely want to go to Greece someday. but you will need a minimum of 10 days to really appreciate it. we didnt want to do the 'tour' thing on our HM.
so it all depends on how much time you have and what kind of HM you and your FH had in mind.

From NY Aruba is very affordable and you can do it anytime. Greece is a way more exotic and not something you would do so often. Thats my vote

I would love to see Greece (we are going to Aruba, though)...but, I would be a bit nervous about how safe it is there right now. Make sure you look into it..

i would def do greece girl, not that Aruba is cheap but you can def do Aruba anytime over Greece.......Aruba is beautiful and has tons of honeymooners but if you can do Greece im sure it would be an exp......i wanna check it out myself.....
