Do you think its too late? What if you did a verbal invite?

Do you have any co-workers you would like to come to your wedding?

Not really, no. If someone verbally asked me to go to their wedding (that I worked with) I'd be like ok cool I'm there.
I'd probably be flattered that they asked me....

It's up to you what you want to do. But also, keep in mind how your co-workers are. Are they the type that would talk smack about it? Or would they be pleased that one of their colleagues asked them to attend their reception?

My aunt and uncle met that way. They were both'friends of friends' invited to a last minute wedding. (That was in the 70's and they have been married over 30 years. )

We might have to add people as well... What did you say to these people? I don't want it to be like hey by the way, we are under our min., want to come to our wedding. Even though that's what we are basically doing, I want to make sure we are sensitive to their feelings.

Could you maybe ask your RH if you could put that money towards upgrades instead?

call people and pretend as if you sent them an invitation and say... 'we haven't gotten your RSVP card back yet and wanted to see if you were able to attend...' pretend as if you sent them the invite and if they say they never got it but want to come, you may be able to fill a few seats that way!

I was there too, we stayed under but i did verbally invite some people. Most understood that you can't invite all your friends when you have your parents and his parents friends and family to consider too. My mom verbally invited some people to. I found the people we invited last minute had the best time, and although some of them didn't give me a gift, at least I wasn't paying for empty seats.
