Under your dress

Do any of you ladies know where I can get some type of corsett or bustier for under my gown? (stomach control is always useful!)

Where do they sell that?

You can look online but I think they're at high-end dept. stores like Lord & Taylor and such... they're THE BEST! Everyone I know SWEARS by them - even for just everyday use!

I agree - check out department stores for Spanx or other undergarment. I know they sell strapless bras that look like a corset.

I have a similar problem/question... went for my first fitting today and am unhappy with how the dress is laying on me :( It is bias cut silk, so the fabric naturally pulls at the hip/bikini area but bulges a little at the stomach. Any other brides wearing a similar dress and have a good recommendation for undergarments?

I got my corset at blums in patchogue. They fit you so this way you know your getting the best size and cut for your shape. The one I got is absolutely fantastic.

If you don't mind venturing into the city, the best place I ever went to buy undergarments was Bra-Tenders

I didn't even spend that much there. I expected they would sell me some very expensive bustier, turned out I just needed a great bra, I bought for my dress and actually wear again under blouses and such.

My suggestion is to go to a bra specialty store and have them fit you. I mean its your wedding day you want it to fit and look perfect. You dont want anything slipping down, looking lumpy or just being plain uncomfortable. And it doesnt have to cost a fortune. They size you for free in a specialty store. =))

Im going to try a place in the city that has been around for decades! I dont know their prices but it comes HIGHLY HIGHLY recommended. Its called
Intimacy on Madison. (myintimacy.com)

Mine was 40 dollars. I was expecting to pay a lot more, I tried on another one that I didn't buy it was 50 I think. Nothing ridiculously expensive.
