So I have my fitting next week and they told me to bring my undergarments. I plan to have them sew in cups, so I don't need to bring a bra. So, I would just need to bring any body slimmers or stockings I plan to wear, right? Might be silly question, but I don't need to bring the day-of panties right?

Re: undergarment question
Bring a bra. My seamstress has informed me that sewing in cups is not a good idea, for reasons she hasn't fully explained. I don't know why she didn't say that before the first fitting, but there you go. I wouldn't worry about underwear, just body shapers and the like.

Re: undergarment question
I brought mine but even if you don't bring them I would try them on with the dress before the big day. Mine showed panty lines, so for my second fitting I brought a new pair and they were just fine.

I don't think you need to bring the underwear you're planning to wear, but I guess it can't hurt. I think you really just need to have anything that will make the dress fit differently (bra, body shaper, etc.)

Re: undergarment question
Panties are not a big issue but if you plan on wearing spanks or any undergarments liek that bring them. And we ended up sewing my bra into the gown she said it will fit better and I will not be tuggig at my bra, so I'd bring one if I were you

Did you get a strappless without a stomach corsett-y thing? Everytime I went to the salon before they put me in one of those and I hate them. I don't really need tummy control...it's my big butt that's the issue...not my belly So can I just get a regular strapless bra?Who knew I was so clueless about undergarments?

If its butt control you need, try Spanx. This way you will not need a panty in addition to them.

Re: undergarment question
If its strapless all I have to say is...
Girl WEAR A BRA!
LMAO this is why i say this...
I didn't. I wore just the cups but with the running around for the wedding, i lost weight the week before and the dress was a little big but not disastrous. WELL when I got on the dance floor and was boogying with our family doctor AND priest (I know it sounds like the beginnings of a bad joke) I went down and so did the dres!!!
So unless you are SURE you will not lose weight and you use double sides WABAM tape to hold everything in, sew a second set of cups to give more defintion and make everything snug or buy a strapless bra. JMO.

Re: undergarment question
I went to visit my dress and my attendant told me not to get a full body shaper or the waist slimmer because it will show lines on my dress. You might be able to call the shop you bought the dress and ask them to recomend what kind of undergarment to bring.
Hope it helps

Come visit me!!!!!!! And I can show you the updated album I have so far.. I'm the one with the Lingerie store!! We got the spanx, bodywrap.. also the long line bras aren't too bad. They are really meant to give your gown shape. I really didn't want to wear one myself for the wedding, but I lilked the way the gown looked so much better with it. It gives you a silhouette.
