Re: undergarments:functional or fancy?
definitely something that you will feel completely comfortable in and will make you look the way you want to on your wedding day....if that just happens to be something lacy....the more power to you....chances are that your husband isnt going to be ripping off your wedding dress and youll have time to change into something a bit more romantic

Will look for a combo. Will not wear a thong, but definitely look for something pretty and comfy. It would depend on you and your dress. Just make sure you don't see lace bumps anywhere. good luck.

Re: undergarments:functional or fancy?
functional...I don't want to be tugging at my bra or even worse, picking at my undies all evening and have that immortalized in video or film for the rest of my life.
Even though I am sure there is a happy medium somewhere betweem the both. No need for grandma undies.

Re: undergarments:functional or fancy?
After trying on gowns, I sing the praises of shapewear. The first place I went to had a long line strapless bra for me to try the dresses on with. It sucked me into the right places, and made all the dresses fall smoothly on me, even if I couldn't button them all the way in the back. The second place I went to didnt' have any bras in my size so I had to wear my own strapless bra that was closer to a regular bra. Almost all the dresses I tried on there looked horrible. They didn't lay right at all. I think that shapewear just helps the material to lay better.

Definitely something functional and comfortable...the last thing you want to do is be uncomfortable, and you will have time to change afterwards!!!

Me too! When you try your dress on and you dont need that extra suction wear sexy. You can defenatley tell if you need it.

Re: undergarments:functional or fancy?
now after thinking all night......
will your photographer be taking pictures of you getting ready(makup put on, slipping into your dress)
Does that affect what you will wear?
Im assuming most brides wear a robe of a jumpsuit during makeup, but who sees you when your are getting into your dress?

Re: undergarments:functional or fancy?
I am definetly getting a sucker-inner!! But I am trying to find cute blue undies to wear underneath... I was even thinking of getting those little 'bride' rhinestones that Gail had gotten and putting them on (I'm a dork!) I don't think I will have the photographer take pix of me getting dressed- I don't even want help if I can get away with it!!

Re: undergarments:functional or fancy?
unless I become a size 4 by the wedding, I am wearing a long line bra. it is supportive and it smooths you out so nicely!
